David Wester
David Wester resides in Cleveland, Ohio with his cats, his dog, and his assortment of houseplants.
From 2006 to 2011 he worked for a major American retailer, whose name he won’t mention (but if you guessed the first major American retailer that pops into your mind you’d have a good chance of hitting it right on the bullseye). He conceived and wrote ‘Twas The Day After Thanksgiving in 2010, originally as an entry for a holiday poetry contest held by said major retailer.
What was intended to be a silly breakroom activity to distract employees from the strain of working a minimum wage job during the holiday season was instead seen by David as a challenge to outshine his coworkers. He was the winner out of only a few entries, and his prize was a frozen turkey. Many years later he rediscovered the poem, and decided it would be fun to have it illustrated and published. So now here we are.
David now works in the field of medical device sales and technical support. When he’s not working he enjoys cooking and gardening and tabletop gaming. He also occasionally fosters kittens and rents his third floor to overnight guests.
